Peregrine falcons are one of the fastest animals in the world, reaching speeds up to 200 mph during a dive. They have been recorded at diving through the air at more than 100 meters per second.
These astonishing winged creatures can reach 25-30 feet in height and they weigh about 2 pounds on average.
Peregrines live all over the world but their populations are declining because of habitat destruction and pesticides like DDT which disrupts reproduction rates.
