The Spotted Hyena is an incredible animal that is often misunderstood. They are the largest of the hyenas and have a unique spotted coat. They are skilled hunters and can take down prey much larger than themselves.

Spotted Hyenas are highly intelligent animals and are able to use teamwork to take down large prey. They are also noted for their strong vocal cords, which allow them to make a wide range of sounds including laughter. This is thought to be one of the reasons they have such a bad reputation – their laugh sounds very similar to a human cackle.
