The coyote is a small and agile canine. They are found all over North America, and their habitats range from urban areas to deserts.
The coyote's diet consists of rodents, snakes, fruit, carrion (dead animals), rabbits, grasshoppers and other insects—basically anything it can find.
What makes these clever creatures so fascinating is not only their ability to survive in such diverse environments but also how they've managed to thrive as apex predators despite being outnumbered by wolves by at least 10-to-1.
