The striped skunk is a nocturnal animal that can be found across North America.
They are most active at night and spend the day sleeping in dens, burrows or hollow logs.
The striped skunk's diet consists of insects, nuts, berries and animals such as frogs and mice which they hunt for with their sense of smell.
The striped skunk will only spray if it feels threatened or cornered; otherwise it will use its bite to defend itself.
Striped Skunks also have an excellent sense of hearing and sight but do not see well close up due to their poor eyesight!
