Discover Tours

The Arctic Tern is a migratory bird that can be found in the Artic and Antarctic regions. They are known for their long-distance flying abilities, and often travel up to 22,000 miles a year! Arctic Terns play an important role in the ecosystem, helping to control populations of fish and other marine life. They are also fascinating creatures to watch, with their aerial acrobatics and playful behaviour.

Arctic Terns are medium-sized birds, typically measuring between 9 and 12 inches in length. They have white plumage on their heads, backs, and wings, and a black cap that extends down the back of their necks. Their beaks are orange-red, and their legs and feet are black. Arctic Terns are very active birds, and can often be seen flying overhead or diving into the water to catch fish. They are also known for their vocalizations, which include a variety of chirps and trills.
