The Jökulsárlón Ice Lagoon is one of the most beautiful places in Iceland. It's so easy to see why- it perfectly captures the essence of what makes this country so magical. This lagoon sits on top of a glacier and is filled with icebergs that have broken off from its front, forming an incredible blue/white contrast against the black volcanic rock behind them. The nearby town offers boat tours where you can get up close to these amazing formations or just enjoy watching them glide by from land! You'll be astounded by how much they change throughout the day too- especially when there are some clouds overhead!
