What is a Cassowary Plum? Cerbera floribunda is a type of fruit that is found in the rainforest. It has a dark purple skin and is about the size of a golf ball. The flesh is white and quite tart, but it's delicious when eaten fresh.

Cassowary Plums can be found in the wild all over Queensland, Australia. They grow on trees that are anywhere from 10-30 metres tall, and they're usually ripe from November to January.

The best time to see a Cassowary Plum in the wild is early in the morning or late in the afternoon, when the light is softer. The forest can be a very beautiful place, and it's well worth taking the time to go and see these amazing fruits in their natural habitat.
