What is a Venezuelan Pokeweed? Phytolacca rivinoides, or Venezuelan pokeweed, is a perennial plant found throughout Central America and South America. It's easily identified by its large, dark green leaves and purple fruit. The plant blooms in late summer and early fall, and the flowers are a vibrant pink.

Venezuelan pokeweed can be found in disturbed areas such as roadsides and abandoned fields. It thrives in hot, sunny climates and can reach up to six feet in height.

The best time to see Venezuelan pokeweed is late summer or early fall, when the flowers are in bloom.
