The Freshwater Crocodile is one of the most iconic creatures found in Australia. They are one of the three crocodilian species that can be found in Australia, and they are the only ones that live in fresh water.

These amazing creatures can grow up to 4 metres long and weigh up to 300 kilograms! Despite their size, freshwater crocodiles are shy and elusive creatures, and are not known for being aggressive towards humans. However, it is still important to always give them a wide berth, as they can do some damage if they feel threatened.

Freshwater crocodiles are opportunistic feeders, and will eat anything that they can get their mouths on - from small fish and frogs, to larger mammals such as kangaroos. They are also known to scavenge on dead animals.
