A Great Bustard is a large bird that is native to Europe and Asia. They are the heaviest flying birds in the world, and can weigh up to 27 pounds! Great Bustards are a protected species in many countries, due to their dwindling population. They live mostly in open areas, such as fields and meadows, where they can find plenty of food.

Great Bustards are omnivorous animals, meaning that they eat both plants and meat. They prefer to eat insects, but will also eat berries, seeds, and other small animals. Female Great Bustards lay eggs between April and June, and the chicks hatch about a month later. The chicks stay with their parents until they are able to fly on their own, which can take several months.

Great Bustards are not easy animals to spot in the wild, but they are a beautiful sight when you do see them. They have a chestnut-coloured body, with a white belly and black wings. Males also have a large, golden-coloured neck ring. If you're ever lucky enough to see a Great Bustard in the wild, be sure to enjoy it! They are truly amazing creatures.
