The Vervet Monkey is a species of Old World monkey found in Africa. They are the most common type of monkey in Africa and can be found in a wide variety of habitats, from rainforest to savanna.

Vervet Monkeys have a characteristic black and white coat which helps them to stand out against their surroundings and makes them easy to spot. They are very agile climbers and use their long tails for balance.

Vervet Monkeys are omnivorous, eating both fruit and insects. They live in social groups of around 20-30 individuals, led by an alpha male. These groups are very vocal, with monkeys communicating with each other through a range of calls and gestures.
